Polyethylene Glycol PEG 6000 25kg

Pharmaceuticals:
Solubilizer: PEG enhances the solubility and bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs, allowing for better delivery and efficacy.
Drug Delivery: PEG is used in oral, topical, and injectable medications, including laxatives like MiraLAX.
Stabilizer: High molecular weight PEGs are used to stabilize biologics like insulin.
PEGylation: PEGylation, the process of attaching PEG to drugs, improves their solubility and extends their half-life in the body.
Laxative: PEG is also used as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation.
Cosmetics:
Emollient:
PEG acts as an emollient, softening and moisturizing the skin, enhancing its texture and feel.
Thickener:
It can increase the viscosity of cosmetic products, providing a desired consistency.
Surfactant:
PEG acts as a surfactant, helping to mix oil and water-based ingredients in formulations.
Humectant:
PEG attracts and retains moisture, keeping the skin hydrated.
Industrial Applications:
Lubricant:
High molecular weight PEGs are used as lubricants in machinery, offering low friction and high stability.
Plasticizer:
PEG acts as a plasticizer in rubber and plastic production, increasing flexibility and processability.
Dispersant:
PEG helps to disperse particles in various formulations, preventing clumping and improving stability.
Preservation:
PEG has been used to preserve historical artifacts by replacing water in wood, preventing warping and shrinking.
Coatings:
PEG coatings are used to lubricate surfaces and minimize immune reactions with implants.
Polymer Processing:
PEG acts as a mold release agent in polymer processing, aiding in the separation of molded products from molds
